PHOTO PREPARATION GUIDE
Choose reference photos that give your faces room to be understood
Learn which clear, recent and unfiltered reference photos help create more recognizable AI wedding portraits for both partners.
Choose our reference photosClarity matters more than quantity
One sharp, evenly lit portrait can be more useful than five filtered or distant photos. Your full face should be visible without sunglasses, hair or heavy shadow covering important features.
A useful set for each partner
Aim for a small range rather than repeated copies of one angle.
- A recent front-facing portrait
- A slight left or right view
- Even, natural light
- Minimal beauty filters and no face-altering effects
- Only one person clearly visible in each reference
Photos to avoid
Avoid severe blur, screenshots, tiny group photos, extreme expressions, strong colored lighting and images where the face is partly outside the frame.
Reference photo questions
How many photos should each person upload?
Between 1 and 5. A few varied, clear photos are better than filling every slot with similar images.
Can we upload a couple selfie?
Individual portraits are preferred because each face is larger and less obstructed.
Should we wear wedding clothes in the reference?
No. Everyday clothing is fine; the selected wedding direction guides the generated styling.
